question for y'all

What would happen if you had a great affair with one of your SD's, but then for some reason it was broken off (either a fight, or just simply moving on). Would you go back to them if they called or email you back a few months later? Or is it all 'been there done that'? I tend to be that way, actually.
Asking because something similar happened to me once with an old SB.
Just curious what is the perspective from an SB view point.
